SAMPLE :: Think Aloud |

|
What
The test participants try out the solution individually and ‘thinkaloud’ – that is to comment on the experiences and navigation problems they may come across during the test. |
When
Can occur at any stage of the UX process. It can be used to pave the way for website revisions within risk averse organisations. A think out loud test can also be a valuable tool in pitch situations where it shows the clients how real customers actually interact with their website. |
Why
The test uncovers if users can navigate the user platform easily and intuitively and if the solution reflects the consumers’ needs and expectations. It takes its starting point from the user’s own situation and therefore gives a realistic profile of the user’s spontaneous use of the solution. |
