INTERACTION :: Page flows

Page flows
What

This is the visual representation of how the pages link together and allows us to see what navigation items need to be presented.

When

It should be used once the task analysis of the user and possibly the user’s journey of the system has been completed. It should be used alongside the wire framing process as it will inform placement of page elements and priority of content.

Why

This way of drawing out the screens as a user flow through the site helps the team envisage potential problems in either interaction design, information structure or development needs. It is a critical part of the web design process as it ensures an overview of the system.
