User stories are scenarios, based on research findings, that a user may find when using the website and interacting with a product. Typically they are a concise sentence that states the user type, the need or want and the action and outcome of their interaction. |

These short descriptions give clarity and focus to the vision of the project at the initial development stage. They can also provide a reference point for the team as the project gathers momentum. These stories define the way the user interacts with the site. |
Why
User stories help create focus within the design team. It ensures we do not make assumptive choices and that we base decisions on the user. They are best used as a compliment to personas and they link together to inform the team of the user requirements. |
