ANALYSIS :: User Interviews |

|
|
What
Used to obtain qualitative information about how the users feel about a product or service. They are conducted face to face and often in an environment that the users are comfortable in. |
When
User interviews occur at the start, during and end of a design process. A script is composed to ensure the interview stays on topic and covers points from an unbiased, neutral perspective. |
Why
Non-verbal clues are extremely important parts of this process, and being physically present allows tone of voice, expressions and body language to be noted. Making a point of these observations is important and the reason why user interviews offer a higher level of quality over telephone interviews or surveys. |
